VASE À DEUX ANSES EN JADE VERT ÉPINARD
CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, XIXÈME SIÈCLE
荣誉呈献

拍品专文

The form of the current vase is known as a 'pilgrim flask' or 'moon flask' and first appeared in China in ceramic form during the early Ming period (1368-1644). It was inspired by Middle Eastern glass and metalwares, which came to China through trade and exchange.
Compare the current vase to another spinach jade vase of similar 'pilgrim flask' form with loose ring handles, dating to the Qianlong period, illustrated by Stanley Charles Nott in Chinese Jade Throughout the Ages, London, 1936, pl. CX.
