A TURQUOISE-GROUND 'ONE HUNDRED SHOU CHARACTERS' BRUSH POT, BITONG
CHINA, 20TH CENTURY
The brush pot is moulded in relief with rows of stylised shou characters on a turquoise ground that is moulded with a key-fret pattern. The interior is covered with a turquoise glaze. The base has an apocryphal Qianlong mark.
