The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The 'vertical handle' ewer:
- There is a small chip to the cover's rim, associated with a very short hairline.

- There is a small chip to the end of the spout.
The openwork ewer:
- There are some small flat chips to the edges and rims of the cover.
- There is extensive fritting to a large section of the cover's rim which has been most probably polished.
- A section of the spout has been broken and restuck with the break lines visible and associated repainted areas along the breaks.
- There is a section (measuring approx. 0.5 x 5 cm. ) of overspray and repainted decoration on the neck, possibly to hide a crack.

- There some glaze flakes to an openwork panel.
- There are a few nicks to the rims and some small frittings all over, especially to the rims, handle and spout.
