The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The red-glazed snuff bottle :
- A chip to the extremity of the dragon's tail and a chip to the upper ruyi frieze.
- A flat nick right under the mouth rim,
- Some wear to the red glaze especially on the foot rim and raised decoration.
- Wear to the gilding on the mouth rim.
The baluster snuff bottle:
- Minute losses and wear to the enamels.
- The flat part of the mouth rim might have been slightly polished.
The circular snuff bottle:
- A minute bubble gap on one side.
- A very minute flat nick to the raised medallion's rim on one side.
The three stoppers and spoons are missing.
The three snuff bottles with light general age-related surface wear.
