The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The smaller teapot:
- There is a later metal spout.
- There is a tiny hairline to the interior rim, measuring approx. 2 mm.
The taller ewer:
- There are some very light touching to the enamels on the flowers.
- There are a few small nicks to the foot ring.
- There is a paper label to the base, reading 'KHANG HI 1662-1722'.
Both teapots with general age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
