The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Both vases:
Light age-related surface wear and scratches as expected
The larger vase:
-There are two areas of restoration to the mouth rim with associated overpainting, the larger measuring approx.. 8 cm. long and 2.5 cm. high, with a wider area of overpainting extending to the shoulder
-The interior of most of the mouth rim has been overpainted
-There is kiln flaw to the underside of the base
The other vase:
-The vase leans slightly
-There are a few shallow nicks to the mouth rim
-There is kiln grit adhesion to the underside of the base
