The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
-One cover:
A restored chip associated overpainting to the mouth rim measuring approx. 3 x 0,5 cm.
The head of the Buddhist lion finial has been broken and replaced with associated overpainting.
-The other cover:
There is a hairline crack extending from the rim measuring approx. 5 cm. long. with an associated areas of restoration and painting to the rim measuring approx. 9 x 2 cm.
The Buddhist lion finial has two drilled apertures to the top of the head which has been cracked and restored.
-One jar:
There is a shallow chip to the interior mouth rim measuring 1,2 x 0,5 cm.
The other jar in good overall condition.
Both jars and covers with losses to the gilding on the handles and finials (one handle with extensive losses.
Age related surface wear and surface scratches.
Iron spots and minor kiln flaws including unglazed sections mainly to the interiors of the rims.
