The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Two small sections of the border of the cover has been replaced.
One ornamental plaque just below the mouth rim possibly replaced.
The silver elements tarnished.
Some small damages in the box' top rim have been restored with silvered metal.
One side of the top rim with traces of red painting.
Some light rust all around.
Some small dents to the surface.
Age-related surface wear and scratches as can be expected.
