The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The plaque:
- There are a few fine hairline cracks to the frame.
- There is a grounded section to the exterior of the rim, possibly to conceal a chip.
- There are a few small missing sections, small chips and nicks to the extremities.

The goose:
- There are a few small sections which might have been re-carved and polished.
- The surface of the base has some traces of impact to the natural stone.
- The stone has some snow flakes, natural vines and fissures.
