The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- The four dishes each have kiln dust adhering to its base, some scattered iron spots, and each have frits and small chips to the rim.
- The 'melon' bowl has a hairline rim crack of ca. 3 cm. with a related small rim chip of ca. 0.3 x 0.2 cm.
- The 'prunus and bamboo' bowl has some iron spots and kiln dust, as well as minor firing flaws to its body and base.
