The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- All have worn glazes due to exposure to the sea, some general surface wear, scratches and iron spots as may all be expected.
- One cover has a glaze star crack to the interior of ca. 4.5 x 2 cm.
- One jar has a small firing crack to the mouthrim resulting in a hairline crack of ca. 2 cm.
- There are some tiny nicks to the mouthrims and footrims.
