The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- All the teapots have surface wear, surface scratches, some small dents as well as tiny nicks and flaws to the jade.
- The square ribbed teapot has a loss to the Yixing base of ca. 2 x 2.5 cm. with some related hairlines running to the top of the pot and with a pewter repair visible to the exterior; the handle is restuck and the jade part of the handle is slightly loose.
- The ruyi-shaped teapot has a faint inscription to the side which has probably been added later.
- The bamboo-shaped teapot has some losses to the interior rim
