The group includes seven large dishes, seven smaller dishes and seven small saucers; all decorated to the interior with stylised lotus blooms and to the exterior with bats.

Acquired in China by H.E. Nicolai Geelmuyden (1907-1964), First Secretary at the Norwegian Embassy in Beijing, China, 1954-1956, and then by descent.
