The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
-The fragment is made up of five sections and has been later attached to a velvet backing, mounted within a gilt wood frame.
-There are small chips to the extremities of the carving, particularly to the tips of the spikes to the edge of the dragon's tail.
-The section to the bottom right of the fragment does not appear to be placed correctly in relation to the rest of the tail.
