The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The dish with two ladies:
-There are a few minute losses to the glaze to the interior, possibly associated with burst glaze bubbles.
-There is a tiny shallow glaze chip to the mouth rim, only visible from the exterior.
-There are three other small chips to the mouth rim, mostly visible from the interior.
-There is general age-related surface wear.
The dish with a lady and a scholar:
-There are a few small chips and frits to the mouth rim, some of which have been restored.
-There is general age-related surface wear.
