Details
One of the dishes is decorated to the centre with two phoenix amongst peonies, all surrounded by a ruyi-head and geometric border. The rim is decorated with the Three Friends of Winter (pine, prunus, and bamboo). The exterior is decorated with three flower sprays and a lappet band surrounding a channelled footring. The other dish is decorated with two boys at play enclosed by flowers on a seed ground in a star-shaped panel. The cavetto is decorated with a further flower band, and the exterior is decorated with a lappet band encircling the channelled footring.
10.7/8 in. (27.5 cm.) diam.
