We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The boy carving:
- There is a section to the underside of the leaf which has been possibly re-carved and polished.
- The stone has some a few natural flaw lines and inclusions.
The Liu Hai carving:
- There are a some chips and bruised areas to the extremities, particularly to the toad and the leafs.
- The stone has some snow flakes and russet inclusions.
