The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
All have light scratches and age-related surface wear as expected with their age.
The large dish:
- This has fritting to the rim with some small shallow chips and nicks.
The smaller dish:
- This has a hairline crack to the rim extending approx. 4 cm. with a small associated area of restoration to the rim.
- The rim has a few frits, nick and small chips to the rim, the larest measuring approx.0.4 cm. long.
- The base has a paper label reading K'ang Hsi (1662-1722)
The jar:
- This is in good overall condition although it is missing its cover.
- It has a paper label to the base reading "O'Byrne, Coll."
The cup:
- This is in good overall condition.
