The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The porcelain ring:
- There is some general surface wear.

The amber ring (3.5 cm. wide):
-There are some nicks and small chips, one with an associated hairline crack

The hardwood ring (3.5 cm. diam.):
-There are some nicks and small chips to the rims.
-There are some scratches to the inside of the ring, possible from a metal reinforcement.

The boxwood ring (3 cm. diam):
-There are three small areas of losses, possibly caused by woodworms.
-The interior of the ring is reinforced with a silver mount.
