The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The teapot cover:
-There are a few chips and nicks to the rim.
The teapot:
-There are two firing cracks to the mouth rim and a tiny chip to the foot rim.
One cup:
-There is a tiny frit and a hairline (only visible from the interior) to the mouth rim.
-There is a bruise to the foot rim.
The other cup:
-There are three tiny shallow glaze chips to the mouth rim.
-There is a tiny chip to the foot rim.
One dish:
-There is a minute frit to the mouth rim.
The second dish:
-There is a tiny frit and a shallow chip to the mouth rim.
-There are a few tiny shallow chips/nicks to the foot rim.
The third dish:
-There are a few tiny shallow chips/nicks to the foot rim.
The other three dishes:
These appear to be in overall fairly good condition apart from general age-related surface wear.
