    Lot Essay

    This equestrian group is detailed with traces of red, white and black pigments and the rider would originally have held an object in his hands, possibly the reins. The result of Oxford thermoluminescence test no. C198y20, dated 14 September 1998, is consistent with the dating of this lot.
