We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The vase:
- There is a hairline crack to one of the ring handles which has possibly accrued from a natural fissure.
- The other ring handle has a polished section.
- There is a small short gap between the lower section of one handle and the body, which might be accrued from a chip.
- There are a few small nicks to the extremities.

The cover:
- The lion has been chiped off and repaired.
- The inside of the cover has been slightly grounded to some areas.
- There are a few nicks to the extremities, predominantly to the lion's face.
