The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the conditions of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The cover:
-The finial is a later replacement.
-There are two chips to the mouth rim which have been infilled, the larger one measuring approx. 5 cm. wide.
The bowl:
-There is a hairline crack emanating from the mouth rim, measuring approx. 18.5 cm. long, with associated chips which have been infilled.
Both bowl and cover:
-There is general age-related surface wear and scratches.
-It is possible that the bowl and cover are not an original match as the cover is slightly too large for the bowl.
-The blue decoration remains vibrant.
