Details
The censer is raised on a tall pedestal foot carved with archaistic dragons, and is set between two openwork handles carved as dragon heads grasping scrolling lingzhi. The cover is carved in openwork with a dragon, a crane, a phoenix, and a qilin, beneath a domed finial with four dragon-head loop handles suspending loop rings. The highly-polished semi-translucent stone is of a pale greenish-white colour.
