The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- jar and cover are associated

Jar:
- two hairline cracks to edge of the collar on the interior, one with an associated chip
- three star cracks, only visible from the inside
- a firing crack and a few minute burst glaze bubbles on the exterior
- other short firing cracks to the interior
- a minute nick to the mouth rim and chips to the foot rim

Cover:
- slightly mishapened, with a few minute nicks to the mouth rim
