The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Censer:
- a hairline crack to the bottom edge extending to the lower part of the body and to the base
- a few short firing cracks to the interior
- a few kiln grit adhesion and other burst glaze bubbles to mouth rim
- there is a large shallow chip to the center on the base
- a TL test drilled hole on the base
- a small loss to the bottom of one foot
- chips, glaze flakes and burst glaze bubbles to edges and extremities
- some earth encrustation to the surface
Cover:
- a star crack and a few other short cracks visible from the interior
- chips to edges, extremities and the interior
