We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- one leaf is restuck near the smaller peach
- small chips to edges, particularly to the leaves and branches
- several short cracks or flaws from the rim of the larger peach, and one small shallow area of restoration on the rim
- the stone is of greyish tone with some fine natural flaw lines, and is dry around the monkey carving
