The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- The first silver seal with dents and nicks to edges and corners, and shallow chips to the tortoise shell
- the second turquoise seal with flaws in the stone and associated small chips on the back of the square seal, and expected minor nicks to extremities
- the third bronze seal with nicks and dents to extremities, and patination to the square seal
