The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- the cabinet is constructed with some re-used timbre
- metal door hinges are replaced
- expected separation between top panel and frame
- separation and fillets between side and back panels, and between door panels and frame
- a fillet and a drilled hole to the base
- upper and proper left door stopper missing, and the proper right door stopper is a replacement
- a few small drilled holes to the bottom door stopper
- back apron missing, the other aprons are a bit loose
- as seen in the illustration, a small wax fill to the proper left door panel
- expected nicks and small dents to the edges, minor surface scratches and staining, scattered small areas of fill, age cracks
- center stile replaced and with a section replaced at the bottom
- expected wear to feet and one feet with some loss
