The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- As seen in the illustration, there is some loss to the pigments and scratching to the surface, as well as some earth encrustation.
- There are a few nicks to the rim and a few chips to the foot.
- There is an approx. 3" horizontal crack at the top of the foot on the exterior, as well as a small, shallow hole to the interior of the neck and the base, which appear to be inherent to manufacture.
- There is a network of thin lines on the body and the base, which appear to be adehsions or scratches from burial.
