The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
From left to right:
First:
-Some small chips to the edges and around the drilled hole
-Some areas of roughness and shallow indentation in the stone
Second:
-a large shallow chip to one of the cutting edge and other small chips to the edges
-there is a hole in the material
-there are some inherent irregularities and some shallow pitting in the stone
Third:
-Some chips to the edges and corners
-Some areas of light-grey surface adhesion
-a very fine, thin fissure or crack across the width
