The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- The earth spirit with a TL test hole to the base with associated piece out adjacent to the hole and a consolidated crack running along the top of the hind leg, probable repairs to the front legs and base, loss to the slip and pigments, nicks to the extremities.
- As seen in the illustration, the ox with earth encrustation to the surface and loss to the tail, pigments on the face and bridle may have been refreshed, as well as probable repairs to the legs, base and tips of the horns, scattered nicks to extremities.
