The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- As seen in the illustration, both vessels and covers exhibit loss to the pigments, scratching, wear and some minor pits/losses to the surface.
- The tripod vessel appears to have been broken in half, with associated repairs/overpainting to the base of one handle and two legs; its cover has one small area of overpainting on the interior possibly concealing a repair, as well as one short crack to the rim, and a network of lines/crackles on the interior.
- The bowl-form vessel with repair to a crack on the rim, as well as some overpainting that may conceal damage; both the vessel and cover with nicks to the edges and a network of lines/crackles on the interior.
