The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
From left to right:
The first:
- Appears to be in overall good condition with some fine crackle in the glaze particularly on one side of the body, which is inherent to manufacture
The second:
- Appears to be in overall good condition
The third:
- A few pin prick holes and minute frits around the mouth rim
- Two small chips a few nicks on the foot rim
The fourth:
- Appears to be in overall good condition, with a small glaze gap on the interior of the mouth rim
The fifth:
- Small pinprick hole and square-shaped glace line on the interior of the mouth rim
