The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in condition after its initial manufacture.
- the construction suggests the coffer is made from re-used timber
- the one end apron is off but retained
- expected wear to the lower frame where the drawers rest
- various patches, nicks to the edges, age cracks, and surface abraision, which are expected
- some use of jumu at the back and on the feet
