The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We sought to record changes in condition after its initial manufacture.
- both back splats are loose
- both with a repaired break to one upright where it joins the crest rail with associated pinning, and the other upright is also pinned
- both with expected age cracks and nicks to the edges
one:
- some break out with associated loss to the rear proper left leg where it joins the stretcher
- cosolidated break with associated pinning to the proper right leg
- consolidated break to the proper left front leg
The other:
- flaw with associated loss and crack to the proper left front foot
