We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- there are fault lines or cracks in the two intertwined branches as seen in the photo
- there are some chips and a small loss to the mouth rim of the cover, probably associated with a fault line
- some chips to the mouth rim and edges of the box
- a few small knocks to the branches and top of the box 
- there are inclusions and fissures inherent to the stone
