The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- Both with minor expected surface wear
- A few minute nicks to the mouth rim of the censer and edges of the raised decoration.
- Chips to the teeth of one beast-form handle and nick with associated bruise to corner of other beast-form handle.
- A possible small area of polishing to one section of the foot rim.
- A very minute nicks to the rim of the cover
