The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Monkey group:
- an area of recarving to one hand of the largest monkey
- a few minute nicks to the edges and extremities, one of which has been polished
- natural fissures and inclusions, which are inherent to the stone

Hehe twin:
- an area of loss to the top of the lotus leaf, with associated polishing
- a few knocks and nicks to edges and extremities
- natural inclusions to the stone, which are inherent to the material

Deer:
- a few minute knocks and nicks to eddges and extremities
- some natural inclusions to the stone, which are inherent to the material
