The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Famille rose dish:
- a 'L' shaped hairline to the mouth rim and a small star crack on the wall
- a small drilled hole to the center of the dish
- some surface scratches and abrasion, particularly to the enamels with associated flakes
- a potting flaw to the interior of the foot, which is original to manufacture
- foot rim slightly buffed
- '1928.235.2' is written in red enamel on the base
Iron-red dish:
- a hairline crack to the mouth rim with an associated nick
- light rubbing to the gilding
- '1928.235.1C' is written in red enamel on the base
