The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- There is some light rubbing and wear, especially to the inside of the neck area.
- There are a few loose threads and short sections of the neck brocade need to be re-stitched.
- There is a stain to the red silk ground of the shoulder.
- The metal buttons are likely to be later replacements.
- The embroidery of the dragons are particularly vibrant and well preserved.
