The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The seven blue and white lobed 'floral' jarlets:
- Two have a restored neck, one of which has a handle off and re-stuck.
- Another jarlet has a handle off and re-stuck.
- There is an old hairline crack to the mouth of one jarlet.
- All with general surface wear and minor frits and nicks as may be expected.
The small blue and white stem cup:
- There are some small nicks and frits to the rim.
- There is some general surface wear and minor glaze flaws as may be expected.
The small blue and white 'crane' box and cover:
- The rims have some small chips and frits.
- The glaze is crackled.
- There is some general wear and firing flaws as may be expected.
The small qingbai moulded box and cover:
- There are two small chips and a hairline rim crack measuring max. approx. 1.7 cm to the cover.
- The rim of the box has some small nicks and there are a few tiny chips to the foot rim.
The brown glazed box and cover:
- There are some old chips to the rim of the box and the foot rim.
The qingbai ewer:
- The spout and handle have been restored, possibly there is restoration to parts of the body as well.
- There are some small chips to the foot rim.
