Figures and Landscapes

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes to the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
- There are slight stains and a few mild creases to the painting surfaces.
- The silk borders and paper exteriors of the hanging scrolls are somewhat worn and stained.
- The original colours of the paintings are clearly visible and very well preserved
- The fine line brushwork on the figures and furniture is particularly well executed.
- The exterior of one scroll bears an original sale label from the wenwu shangdian cataloguing this as an original work by Ren Xun, listed under his style name of Ren Fuzhang.
