The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The small rouleau vase:
- The glaze on the mouth rim has some crackles.
- The glaze below the mouth rim is rubbed along approx. 2/3 of the neck.
- There are several faint glaze cracks to the neck, body and base.
The pear-shaped vase:
- Apart from some small glaze frits and firing flaws, this vase is in good overall condition.
The dish:
- There is a small chip to the rim measuring max. approx. 0.5 x 0.3 cm, and a related hairline crack measuring max. approx. 3 cm long.
- There are some small frits and minor firing flaws.
