Details
The bowl is decorated to the interior in shades of cobalt blue with a central flower head encircled by six interlinked ruyi-heads. The cavetto is further embellished with an elaborate design of stylised clouds. The exterior is decorated with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, bajixiang, amongst scrolling lotus tendrils.
8¾ in. (22.3 cm.) diam.

Private English collection, acquired by a Protestant missionary in Beijing in the 19th century, then by descent within the family.
