The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
All have light scratches and surface wear in keeping with their age.
'Egg-and-spinach' bowl:
- There is a hairline crack extending max. approx. 3.3 cm. from the rim.
- There is a horizontal scratch through the glaze to the exterior of the bowl measuring max. approx. 9.5 cm. long.
Polychrome enamelled dish:
- There is a forked hairline crack extending max. approx. 4.5 cm. from the rim.
- There are two chips to the rim, the largest measuring max. approx. 1 x 0.4 cm.
Famille rose cup and saucer:
- These are in good condition.
- There is a Cohen and Pearce London paper label to the base.
Blue and white cup:
- There are two hairlines extending form the rim, the longest measuring 4.3 cm.
- There are several chips to the rim, the largest measuring 0.8 x 0.5 cm.
