The group comprises: a dish decorated with precious objects; three dishes decorated with peony and bamboo sprays; two 'scrolling peony' dishes; a dish decorated to the centre with two ladies and a boy, the rim decorated with four panels enclosing scholars and attendants; a pair of dishes decorated with a crane in flight and a crane perched on a pine tree next to blossoming prunus by a pavilion with figures in a mountainous river landscape; a plate and a charger each decorated with figures in boats in a mountainous river landscape; and a Japanese Arita dish decorated with pomegranate and finger citron sprays to the interior surrounded by panels enclosing alternating flowers and precious objects.
The largest, 16⅜ in. (42.2 cm.) diam.

Acquired in the first half of the 20th century, then by descent within the family.
