Details
The jian bowl is covered with a thick black glaze finely streaked with iridescent 'hare's fur' markings, stopping irregularly above the foot exposing the chocolate-brown body, and the base is carved with a two-character inscription gongyu (imperial tribute). The celadon bowl is carved in the centre with an abstract lily with combed details.
The jian bowl: 4¾ in. (12 cm.) diam.
The Longquan bowl: 4⅝ in. (11.8 cm.) diam.
