The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
The two oval shaped dishes
- The rim of one oval dish has light fritting and a re-attached semi-circular section measuring max. approx. 13 cm x 5.5 cm.
- The same oval dish has a shallow chip to the rim measuring max,. approx. 0.7 x 0.7 cm.
- The second oval dish has a firing flaw to the centre of the interior.
The oval dish with rounded sides
- This is in good condition.
The circular dish
- This has two small chips to the rim, the largest measuring max. approx. 0.4 x 0.1 cm.
The octagonal dish
- There are scattered small chips to the rim, the largest measuring approx. 0.4 cm x 0.1 cm.
- There is a hairline extending approx. 4.1 cm. from the rim.
The five oblong dishes
- These dishes have some light fritting to the rims.
- Three dishes are in good condition.
- The fourth dish has been broken in half and re-stuck and has two chips, the largest measuring max. approx. 1 x 1 cm.
- The fifth dish has a shallow chip to the underside of the rim measuring max. approx. 0.6 x 0.8 cm.
