The pear-shaped ewer is decorated to one side of the body with two seated scholars and to the other with two standing scholars, all below a band of flower sprays to the shoulder and upright tulip sprays to the neck. The c-shaped handle is decorated with cloud scrolls. The upper section of the handle is mounted with a silver hinged cover decorated with a shell and the mounts on the foot are decorated with a leaf band..
9⅛ in. (23 cm.) including mount

Acquired in the first half of the 20th century, then by descent within the family.
